REQUEST FOR STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE DELTA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that Delta City, Utah, as the owner of the Delta Municipal Airport (DTA), is requesting statements of qualifications and experience from consulting firms ("Proposers") qualified and experienced in the field of airport engineering services. The Sponsor plans to award a contract for airport engineering services for our Taxiway A, Apron, Access Road and Pavement Maintenance, subject to review for any and all planning projects subject to federal assistance under the Airport and Airway Improvement Act of 1982, as amended, or other sources of funding. The contract will be for the basic airport engineering consulting services as defined herein. Delta City reserves the right to inquire into the prospective proposal’s ability to provide professional services, as defined below, and to amend the Schedule of Projects and contract Scope of Work at the sole discretion of Delta City, on behalf of the Delta Municipal Airport, to include any or all of the below listed services. Contemplated projects under this contract may include any of the following projects:

Taxiway A, Apron and Access Road
Pavement Maintenance

All projects are dependent upon federal Airport Improvement Program (AIP) funding, state funding, and approval from the Sponsor. Therefore, it shall be understood that some of the services related to the above listed projects may be deleted or modified. The Sponsor reserves the right to initiate additional services not included in the initial procurement. The above public notice language is a summary of the actual Request for Statements of Qualifications and Experience for Engineering Services for the Delta Municipal Airport. The Sponsor invites firms to submit Statements of Qualifications to perform the above-described services. Interested firms should submit five (5) copies of the proposal no later than Tuesday. NOTICE OF COUNCIL SEAT VACANCY

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that Delta City, in compliance with Utah Code Annotated, (1953), as amended, § 20A-1-510, will appoint an individual to fill the remaining approximate nineteen months of a vacated city council position. Those interested in being considered for appointment to this position shall have until 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 to submit their name for consideration along with any accompanying portfolio, if they so desire, to the City’s Administrative Officer/Recorder, Gregory Jay Schafer, MMC. Qualified individuals must be a registered voter in Delta City that satisfies the qualifications for office of City Council described in U.C.A. § 10-3-301. Qualified applicants will be provided an opportunity to briefly address the City Council members and will also be asked to answer some questions posed to them at the City Council meeting held at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, July 19, 2018 in the City’s Municipal Complex Council Chambers. After the City Council’s consideration, the successful candidate shall be selected and then sworn into office at the next City Council meeting, scheduled for Thursday, August 2, 2018. NOTICE OF VACANCY IN POSITION OF BOARD MEMBER FOR THE WEST MILLARD MOSQUITO ABATEMENT DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Delta City hereby gives notice pursuant to Utah Code Ann. § 17B-1-304 that the City Council, for the City of Delta, intends to appoint a member to the District Board of Trustees, and is accepting applicants to the appointment. The person selected shall be appointed as board member for the West Millard Mosquito Abatement District Board of Trustees. This is an unpaid position. All applicants must meet the following criteria for appointment and shall be:

  • a registered voter at the location of the member's residence; and
  • a resident within Delta City.

The Delta City Council shall select from the list of applicants the person who will then be appointed to the position of board member for the West Millard Mosquito Abatement District Board of Trustees. All interested applicants should submit their name to the Delta City Administrative Officer/Recorder, Gregory Jay Schafer, by no later than July 15, 2018. The Selected and appointed applicant shall serve in the appointment for a term of four (4) years.

ORDINANCE 18-279 PASSED

At the April 19, 2018 meeting of the Delta City Council, the Council passed Ordinance 2018-279 amending Title 12 of the Revised Ordinances of Delta City (1981 Edition), as amended, ("Delta City Ordinances") pertaining to correcting formatting issues and the compensation and removal of planning and zoning commission members.

RESOLUTION 18-423 PASSED

At the April 19, 2018 meeting of the Delta City Council, the Council passed Resolution 2018-423, a resolution of the Council of the City of Delta, State of Utah, setting compensation and salaries for the fiscal year 2018.

RESOLUTION 18-422 PASSED

At the April 19, 2018 meeting of the Delta City Council, the Council passed Resolution 2018-422 establishing certain fees in a Delta City Consolidated Fee Schedule as set out in the Delta City Consolidated Fee Schedule Dated: 04/19/2018.
